Waitlisted at Barnard. I guess things could be worse, but really things could be so so so much better :( I’m a little heartbroken and kinda pessimistic (realistic?) about the process from here on out. I have NYU and Fordham so New York City dreams can still be realized, but little compares to Barnard (and going to my dream school).

Cannot sleep for the life of me. How can I when I’m waiting to hear back from my dream school tomorrow. (Leave it to FL to be the last place mail from NYC arrives to.) Desperately hoping for a big package in the mail and not just an envelope!

Today my parents jokingly offered to get me an iPhone for graduation if I cut the shit and go to school for the rest of the year— no absences, no tardies, no leaving early. If you knew me in the real world, you’d know that I haven’t been to school two of the last three school days (which is a tad extreme even for me but I think justified in some instances, such as my life????)...

Me: Yeah, so this girl was totally on my dick at this concert.
Dad: Wait, what?
Me: You've never heard that? Like she was all up in my grill.
Dad: I don't think that's something that girls say.
Me: That's sexist..
